Pratobello, Orgosolo.
Giugno 1969.
 
 
la rivolta popolare degli orgolesi contro l'occupazione militare di 13 mila ettari di pascoli.
È la storia di un mese frenetico e senza sonno, di una lotta senza partito che avrà la meglio sulle migliaia di soldati e sulle decisioni prese a Roma.
Tutto ha inizio il 27 maggio 1969 quando sui muri ancora spogli di Orgosolo compaiono dei manifesti intestati alla Brigata Trieste.
Il testo impone ai pastori e ai braccianti agricoli che lavorano in territorio di Pratobello di abbandonare la zona e trasferire il bestiame altrove.Perché per due mesi il terreno da pascolo sarà un poligono di tiro.
A questa notizia se ne aggiunge un'altra, non ufficiale, che circola in paese: quello che il Governo italiano chiama "poligono temporaneo" mira in realtà a diventare un campo di addestramento e tiro permanente.
Il Circolo giovanile di Orgosolo con i propri volantini ciclostilati avvisa la popolazione e organizza la prima assemblea.
Si decide di portare avanti una lotta alla luce del sole, senza incontri segreti o
riunioni a numero chiuso.
Mentre i sindacati e i partiti si scontrano con il Circolo e cercano invano di mantenere le redini del gioco.
Il 9 giugno, 3500 orgolesi iniziano l'occupazione dei campi.
Donne, uomini e bambini, affrontano i militari faccia a faccia.
Non si verifica nessun episodio di violenza ma qualcosa di molto più forte.
Le donne raggiungono i soldati, li guardano negli occhi, iniziano a parlare.
Spiegano loro cosa hanno in testa.
«I militari – spiega Nanni Moro del Circolo – iniziano vedere con gli occhi della popolazione».
Gli effettivi dell'esercito avrebbero in ogni modo cercato di evitare questo pericoloso rapporto col 'nemico'.
Ma alcuni militari affrontano il rischio di comunicare per lettera con la popolazione. Così i soldati imparano a diffidare degli ufficiali che avevano descritto gli
abitanti del paese come banditi.
Gli abitanti corrono sotto il sole giorno dopo giorno per tenere occupato l'esercito e impedire le esercitazioni.
È una rivolta senza sangue.
Dai manifesti che chiedono concime, non proiettili nasceranno i primimurales.
Ma i giornali in quei giorni dicono le bugie.
Una grossa manifestazione pacifica aggiunge Moro veniva resa ai lettori come la scalcagnata parata di quattro gatti maoisti.
I giornali fanno il gioco del Governo perché nessuno deve sapere che la gente può dire no alle servitù militari.
Il 26 giugno la vittoria arriva ma i partiti e i sindacati fanno fare uno scivolone alla lotta.
Il poligono di tiro non sarà permanente ma per due mesi si sparerà: quella del 26 è una serata di stanchezza e la promessa di indennizzi ai pastori fa il resto.
La vittoria arriva ma si porta dietro quest'ombra scura.
A sottolineare che la lotta, quella vinta, è tutta del popolo, mentre gli accordi, i compromessi e le figuracce, vanno ai partiti, sindacati e giornali di allora.
Dalla rivolta di Pratobello nasce una canzone.

Poco o niente si sa di lui; ma può darsi che fosse semplicemente uno degli orgolesi in lotta quei giorni lontani e vicini al tempo stesso.
